As a subcommittee of FNE International, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, ARTS Unchained collaboratively develops and implements creative arts therapies experiences for communities in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. These experiences provide for graduate-level students, partnering community organizations and professionals a platform from which to learn and integrate theoretical knowledge from a variety of frameworks (clinical, behavioral, educational and the creative arts therapies). With a hand-in-hand philosophy, FNE International and ARTS Unchained promote education, mental health and sustainable community development projects working with communities to identify pressing needs, network with local and international organizations, facilitate collaboration, and empower individuals to actively participate within their communities.
